Happy Sunday! This newsletter is coming a little later in the month than usual. I was on Spring Break for two weeks and also took off all last week off for personal reasons. So, I appreciate your grace.
As many of us jump into our third Quarter 4 of the COVID-19 pandemic, I know that the burnout is real, and the question loop of “Am I still a good teacher?” “How am I going to make it?!” “Do I still want to do this?” remains loud and persistent. I wanted to speak to a few questions that teachers might be asking themselves as they 1) near the end of the 2021-22 school year, and 2) begin to plan for their future. As you read through the following questions and ideas, I encourage you to consider your own identity, positionality, and privilege.
